I have installed my windows internet features and want to auto logon. My save password option is grayed out and I can't seem to enable to auto-logon ( just click on the internet logo and password/logon auto submitted). How do I enable this feature?? Auto logon setting in Win95 registry
The first thing that I would deal with is the auto logon. This is a simple registry key which setup sometimes forgets to reset at the end. It can be found at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon. The key of interest is AutoAdminLogon which should be set to 0 (zero) to disable it.

I have set lmlogon (system.ini) to 1 and auto logon to yes. The machine boots ok, but then says press enter if this account (administrator) is my user name. (Type your username, or press enter if it is administrator) No keyboard! How do I fully automate this? There's no need for a programming language like BASIC.

95 won't auto logon
They originally had the system set up to auto-logon with a local user account because the video capturing software does not run as a service. It must be run from an interactive session. After I joined the domain - I set the registry to auto logon with a domain account. Hard coded the password in the registry.

I would like to setup a locked down Windows NT 4.0 sp6a workstation to do a auto logon when booted. This machine will only have one purpose and we don't want it used for anything else. I have set TweakUI98SE for auto-logon with username and password, but does not work every time...no pattern that I can see? ...reverts to no password logon. Under MSCONFIG/system.ini, I tried disabling a second password, without auto-logon success. Why would I have two passwords in system.ini?
